For generations, Johanna's family has been collecting "lucky" stones with natural holes  found on the shores of lake Winnipeg as they are believed to be symbols of good luck.
Her work now incorporates metal replicas of the stones. Each stone represents a unique moment in time when something as tiny and common as a shape on the beach compels you to stop and react to the world around you. These stones are a symbol of that moment of pause.
