Warranty - Anne Sportun designs

Our handmade jewellery, crafted in our Toronto studio, uses the finest materials and undergoes thorough quality inspection. We offer a warranty against manufacturing defects and craftsmanship-related deficiencies, which typically become apparent within the first year of wear.

Please note that our warranty does not cover damage resulting from normal wear and tear, such as scratches / abrasions, metal wearing down or warping from weight / pressure / improper wear, damage to stones, etc. We strongly advise removing your jewellery during activities like working out, playing sports, gardening, lifting heavy items etc. Proper storage of your jewellery is important. We also recommend annual inspections to prevent stone loss, as settings can loosen over time with regular wear.

Kindly be aware that any alterations made by a goldsmith not approved by Anne Sportun will void the warranty.

Warranty & Repairs - Featured designers

Anne Sportun carries items from various designers, each with their own specific processes for warranty and repair. Should an issue arise with your piece, we are here to guide you through the appropriate steps.

Fine jewelry items: Repairs are often possible, either in-house or by the original designer (dependent on repair and designer). Please note that most repairs are due to general wear and tear and are typically at the customer's expense. Manufacturer defects, such as structural issues or gold porosity, are rare and usually become apparent within the first year of wear. Our goldsmiths can easily identify such defects upon inspection.

Gold Plated Costume / Fashion jewellery items: Generally not repairable. The materials used are not designed for extensive wear and subsequent repair, meaning these pieces have a natural lifespan after which they cannot be fixed.

Silver pieces may be repairable. Due to silver's soft and pliable nature, these items are prone to scratches and breaks with wear and tear. Silver is also susceptible to tarnishing.

We do not offer repair services for other designers / jewelers work that we did not sell to the customer.
