Creating a Custom Piece
At Anne Sportun, we know that jewelry is an investment and that each piece has a special significance for the wearer. Jewelry has the ability to create memories, mark significant life events and represent a person's individual style. While our collections offer many choices, you may want to have design input. As a result, many of our clients are pleased to learn that we do offer custom work at Anne Sportun Fine Jewelry.
Our bespoke services cater to a wide range of clients' needs, ranging from custom made gemstone jewelry, custom engagement and wedding rings and remounting of heirloom pieces. Whatever your specific creative vision, our dedicated and experienced team at Anne Sportun Fine Jewelry can help you to bring it to life to what you seek in an original and intuitive way.
Here are some frequently asked questions about the custom design process:
What does “custom design” mean?
Our custom design service allows us to work with you to create a piece that is completely personalized. The term “custom design” means that you and a member of our team work together to ensure that you have all the Anne Sportun design features that you desire in your custom piece.
For instance, if you're looking for custom made rings, you can visit our flagship store and choose features such as the width and texture of the band, style of the setting, matte or high polish finish, and type of precious metal. All of these components make for a piece of fine jewelry completely your own.
Here are some examples:
Prong or Claw
Width of Band: If it’s a ring you are having made, choose the width that best suits your taste and finger.
What is the benefit of creating a custom piece?
A custom piece of jewelry is an investment that should stand the test of time. For many, a custom ring or necklace will often be worn for a lifetime and even become an heirloom. Hence, it's important to choose a piece of jewelry that truly speaks to you and represents your intention and sentiment.
The benefit of a custom piece is that it is uniquely your own, styled with all the signature Anne Sportun design aesthetics. A custom piece may be the re-working of an heirloom piece you have inherited, such as an heirloom stone remounted into one of our many existing mounts, or perhaps you are celebrating a special event with custom jewelry (engagement rings or wedding rings are a popular selection). By working together with us, you can customize a piece to suit your preferences.
If you're looking for bespoke jewelry, visit us at our flagship store and begin the consultation process today. We can also work with you remotely to create the perfect custom piece.
Is there anything you can’t do?
At Anne Sportun Fine Jewelry, we pride ourselves on our ability to listen to all of our clients’ preferences so that we can assist in bringing to life their creative vision. What is the “Anne Sportun" design aesthetic?
The Anne Sportun design aesthetic refers to the designs, patterns, textures, shapes, and styles that already exist in our collections. Our collections are constantly evolving with new ideas and creative styles, allowing plenty of choices when you create your custom piece with a member of our team.
When it comes to custom diamond jewelry, you can use our service to create a unique engagement ring or to create a piece for a milestone anniversary.
Is there an added cost to having something custom made?
Custom work often requires more labour as we hand make your bespoke piece. After your consultation, we will prepare a quote for your approval. Quotes are valid for four weeks, after which time a new quote will be needed. The final cost of your piece will also depend on the materials and styles that you select.
As custom pieces are uniquely designed and created for each customer, they are entirely non-refundable.
How long does this process take?
From start to finish, the bespoke process takes approximately 6–8 weeks. If you require a custom piece to mark a special occasion, please consider this timeframe in order to ensure the item is completed on time.
How do I begin the custom process?
